  2. Marc, This is awesome!!!! I'm at a loss for words. Your example has given me greater insight into what it should look like. I do not have photos like these, however, your example has done what our studies state about online learning - motivated me and given me a connection to the course expectations. April C.

  4. Marc,

I really enjoyed watching your video. I especially liked the connection you made between gaming, instant gratification and motivation. Providing instant gratification is a critical component of gaming that must be considered when it comes to developing them for educational purposes. Education and learning don’t have to be boring, dull or painstaking. When I taught technology to my elementary students they worked with typing software which used a basketball game at the end each of each section to evaluate their proficiency level. In order for students to earn a high score on the game, they had to increase their typing ability. If they typed the passage without error free, at a good pace and within the time allowed, they would earn a high score. It did not take long for them to realize that it made no sense to rush through the lesson and earn a low score on the game. As their typing proficiency increased, so did their scores. As they began to take their time with the lesson and play the games when they were ready, they would consistently earn high scores. Great job!!!
